Ubisoft today released the latest figures, detailing the distribution of revenue. According to the French publisher and developer, the PlayStation 4 continues to generate the most revenue. The games for these platforms had a share of 44 percent in the past quarter, which is due to the higher hardware base. The Xbox One comes to 25 percent, the PC to 15 percent and the Nintendo Switch is already six percent.
In the annual report, Ubisoft also points out that “Assassin’s Creed Origins” was the third most successful game in Europe, the Middle East and Africa last year. The company expects the season in Assassin’s Creed Origins to nearly double in the first year compared to the series average.
Ubisoft also expects “Assassin’s Creed Origins” to sell about twice as well over its lifetime as “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate”. The trend points in this direction. According to Ubisoft, the season pass of “Assassin’s Creed Origins” also sells a lot better than “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate”.
The “Tom Clancy” community has now reached 60 million players and “Ghost Recon Wildlands” was ranked 7th in the aforementioned regions last year in the best-selling games.
