The retro adventure “Thimbleweed Park” is now available for all common platforms. As officially confirmed, the Switch version sold best so far.
Little by little, the adventure “Thimbleweed Park”, in which the developers around designer legend Ron Gilbert oriented themselves on classical genre representatives such as “Manic Mansion”, was released for the various platforms.
So the retro adventure started on the PC as well as the Xbox One and was subsequently sent on iOS, Android, the PlayStation 4 as well as Nintendo’s switch into the race. On Twitter, Ron Gilbert turned to the community, focusing on the commercial performance of “Thimbleweed Park.”
Although Gilbert could elicit no specific sales figures, but pointed out that “Thimbleweed Park” on the switch particularly popular and sold best of all platforms. At the same time Gilbert speaks of the fact that the main target group of the studio is meanwhile to be found on switch.
In terms of content, the switch version of “Thimbleweed Park” corresponds to what was already offered on the other systems. However, owners of the handheld console hybrid can look forward to a little innovation in the play area. Thus, both the possibilities of the Joy-Cons and the touch screen of the switch are supported, which should especially benefit the convenience of playing.
