Although PlayStation VR has already come with a cinematic mode that allows you to enjoy movies on a large virtual screen, “Theater Room VR” will soon release a separate app designed to make the movie experience even more authentic. Initially, beta tests are scheduled in Japan.
Sony is trying something new and has announced a PlayStation VR app called “Theater Room VR”. As the name implies, the app transports you to a virtual cinema where you can watch movies. In Japan, PlayStation Plus members will begin a beta test on December 13, 2017, during which “Theater Room VR” will be screened by attendees for the first time
As mentioned, “Theater Room VR” is a PSVR app that puts you in a virtual reality space with a big screen or a huge screen. There you can enjoy video content such as movies, anime and similar things. In “Theater Room VR” you are not allowed to walk around freely, but you get the chance to look around freely. For navigation, you use the DualShock 4 controller with touchpad support. For example, you change the screen size and make additional settings.
The first beta test includes the movie “Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale”. All players with a Japanese PS Plus account have been able to use the app at PlayStation Store’s Japanese PlayStation Store at 11:59 pm, JST, Nov. 29 through Dec. 5. You can watch the strip from December 13 to December 19, 2017. In the second beta phase is “Kings Glaive: Final Fantasy XV” turn. In this case, the application deadline runs from 6 December to 12 December 2017. The film can be watched from 20 to 26 December 2017.
