Sumo Digital announced yesterday that the puzzle platformer “Snake Pass” will be launched on March 29, 2017 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch. In a later press release, further details on the adventure were revealed. For example, it has been confirmed that the title will benefit from the additional performance of the PlayStation 4 Pro.
This means in practice: Owners of a 4K TV can enjoy “Snake Pass” with a higher resolution. But even PS4 Pro owners without 4K TV will see advantages, because on a conventional HDTV, the title offers a higher Framerate. High Dynamic Range (HDR) is also supported on compatible TVs.
On the Xbox One and Windows 10, the so-called “Play Anywhere” is used. In the end, you have to buy “Snake Pass” only once and you can play it on both platforms without paying an extra cent. The progress is stored in the cloud.
There is also information about the switch version: Owners of the console handheld hybrid can play the title in TV mode, handheld mode, and tabletop mode. Thanks to the support of the Joy-Con and Switch Pro controllers, “SnakePass” on the Nintendo Switch should offer “unprecedented flexibility”.
