The newly released Sci-Fi shooter “Prey” has already been extensively played by speedrunners, so that the world record for the fastest match has already reached under 20 minutes.
Update: It seems to be even faster: The new Speedrun record was set up by YouTuber “Bjurnie”. He managed to play “Prey” in 10 minutes and 52 seconds. The video shows the passage.
Last week, Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios released the pre-sci-fi shooter “Prey” for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC in the worldwide trade. In the meantime, the Speedrunner have also dealt more closely with the game, so that the best times are almost undercut every day until the end of the game.
The YouTuber DraQu has now released a new video, in which he finished “Prey” in less than 20 minutes. The official time of the Speedrunners is 19 minutes and 34 seconds. Of course DraQu used some glitches to reach this time, so he clogs through the walls of the Talos-1. With the use of some other functions, he manages to bypass a large part of the spielareal.
However, it was clear that the record is quickly broken. The Speedrun rankings report that DrTChops currently holds the record with a time of 12 minutes and 46 seconds. You can watch his run via Twitch. If the Speedrunner has already reached less than 20 minutes after a few days, the question arises, at which time the world record will settle down in the long term.
