From “Metro Exodus” we have not heard or seen anything for a while. That’s about to change, because in a few days the Game Awards 2017 will take place. Included is a new trailer for the upcoming shooter. Maybe we can also take a look at gameplay scenes. Announced was the new video footage from award producer Geoff Keighley on Twitter.
The Game Awards, to be broadcast for the fourth time next Friday, are not just dedicated to the best games of the year, but also to give an outlook on what awaits players next year. The organizers around Geoff Keighley have already promised more than twelve world premieres. In many cases, these are trailer or gameplay scenes that will be seen for the first time on the show.
There will not be too many surprises during the awards, because the next game, which will be world premiered at the end of the week, was called by the name. As Geoff Keighley confirmed on Twitter, we can expect a new trailer for “Metro: Exodus” during the 2017 Game Awards. Whether gameplay scenes will be there is not known.
However, it is certain that “Metro: Exodus” will follow the events of “Metro 2033” and “Metro: Last Light”. The title was officially unveiled earlier this year at Microsoft’s press conference on the occasion of the E3 2017. Based on author Dmitry Glukhovsky’s “Metro” book series, “Exodus” combines the survival horror, stealth, and first-person shooter aspects of the previous two titles with a more open-ended game world where you can experiment and take on challenges.
“Metro: Exodus” will be released sometime next year for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Game Awards will provide further insights on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5:30 pm PT or here in Germany from 2:30 am on December 8, 2017.
