The executives of 4A Games have now revealed more information on the upcoming first-person shooter “Metro Exodus”. Accordingly, one can adjust to a larger and more extensive adventure.
Yesterday we already reported some new details about the upcoming first person shooter “Metro Exodus”. In the meantime the complete Game Informer report about the game has been released, which is why some more information has already been provided today.
Thus, Metro Exodus will have a more open level design that will send players through the Russian wilderness. However, the developers of 4A Games have made it clear that “Metro Exodus” is not an open-world game. Instead, you get several large sandbox levels to explore. The story, on the other hand, will be completely linear, so you can not go back as soon as you enter a new area.
The open areas will be up to four square kilometers in size, which is why you can also use different vehicles to explore the areas. The train “Aurora” will serve as a base and can be upgraded in the course of the game. Overall, you should be able to expect a bigger adventure than in the predecessors, because the story also handles a whole year. Each sandbox stage will be a new season with its own mutants and other dangers.
Furthermore, it was revealed that players in “Metro Exodus” will plunder similar to “Fallout”. You will also get a crafting system, which will cause balls to no longer be used as currency. Instead, you can combine weapon upgrades, taking care to clean the gun regularly. If you do not keep the gun in good shape, it will not work anymore.
Finally, it was confirmed that you can not kill the enemy from now on, which should help especially fans of creep tactics. Furthermore, the actions of the players are tracked, so that the enemy factions respond accordingly.
“Metro Exodus” will be released in fall 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
