The directors of PixelCount Studios are made up of former Lionhead employees. Now the small independent studio would like to collect funds to realize the development of the sandbox “Kynseed”.
After Microsoft had shut down the Lionhead Studios, some of the approximately 100 employees came to other developer studios, some have left the industry completely, and some have joined the new Studio PixelCount Studios.
The PixelCount Studios have now announced that they are working on a sandbox roll game called “Kynseed”. A kickstarter campaign has now been launched to finance this project. The developers are hoping to collect 30,000 pounds to make the game reminiscent of “Stardew Valley”.
In “Kynseed” the game world is influenced by the decisions and deeds of the player. When the seasons move across the country, they will probably change the look of the world as well as the gameplay. People and animals will die in the game and ultimately die, with the families remembering good and bad deeds for generations. Further details on the game can be found on the official kickstarter page.
A prototype of “Kynseed” is available for download and the final release is currently scheduled for December 2018.
