CD Projekt RED has announced that the single-player campaign for the digital card game “Gwent: The Witcher Card Game” will be postponed to the coming year.
The guys from CD Projekt RED are bad news for those who really wanted to play the story-driven single-player campaign of the digital card game “Gwent: The Witcher Card Game” this year. The developers have confirmed that the publication of the campaign, which bears the name “Thronebreaker”, has been postponed to 2018.
“Thronebreaker, Gwent’s story-driven single-player campaign, is moving to 2018,” the official said. “We’ve decided to scale up the campaign and need more time to work on it, changing appearance windows is always something we take seriously, but we’ll never hesitate to do so if we feel that you get a better game as a result. ”
The developers apologize to all those who had planned to play Thronebreaker over the Christmas holidays. However, the final game should be worth the extra waiting time. Finally, Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Projekt RED, has revealed that “Gwent: The Witcher Card Game” will often miss multiplayer updates. So you should be able to expect additional cards, challenges, cosmetic items, game patches and balance adjustments.
“Gwent: The Witcher Card Game” is currently on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC in open beta.
