A few days ago, Epic Games’ “Fortnite” was also considered with the support of the Xbox One X. A recent performance analysis from Digital Foundry shows the technical improvements on Microsoft’s new console.
A few days ago, the developers of Epic Games released a new update to their own successful title “Fortnite”.
With this “Fortnite” was tailored to the support of Xbox One X. As it was called by the official side, with the update to version 1.91 a dynamic 4K resolution was introduced, which delivers 80 percent of the native 4K resolution in the game itself. The HUD, on the other hand, is displayed in native 4K resolution.
In addition to the release of the 1.91 update, the colleagues at Digital Foundry let the now almost compulsory performance analysis jump. As can be seen, it is “Fortnite” is probably the first title, on the Xbox One X a much better figure than on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
According to Digital Foundry, “Fortnite” is featured on the Xbox One X with the “epic” PC settings, bringing it to native 1728p resolution in-game. On the PlayStation 4 Pro, however, “Fortnite” is displayed in the native 1080p resolution and has to live according to Digital Foundry partly with significantly less details.
The textures and foresight also benefit from the additional power of the Xbox One X. Further details are provided by the following performance analysis.
