Canadian developer team Frima Studio has now announced that the VR adventure “FATED: The Silent Oath” is now available in North America and Europe for PlayStation VR. For HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, the title was released last year.
The gods bring the world to the brink of destruction
In “FATED: The Silent Oath,” the players will witness the painful journey of a man who has to protect his family from the end of the world. The developers promise an adventure with an old Norse background story and film-ready implementation.
Antoinette Thibeault, Marketing Director of Frima Studio said, “We are very pleased to be able to publish FATED on PS VR, and the compelling and highly-emotional storyline works extremely well in virtual reality and we believe FATED Perfect example is how PS VR can pull the players into a cinematic story, as it was not yet possible. ”
The first-person adventure was developed with the Unreal Engine 4 and settled in the mythic age of the Vikings. Jill Murray, an author of the “Assassin’s Creed” series, is also responsible for the plot. The adventure tells the story of the exile of a man and his family during Ragnarök. On their journey, there are emotional and frightening events, in which all involved learn more about themselves.
