According to current statistics, the galaxy of the space simulation “Elite Dangerous” has been explored to less than one percent. This can be seen in a website that allows the players to immortalize their discoveries in a database.
At least a few days ago, the beta phase started on the PC for the latest content update of the space simulation “Elite Dangerous”.
This will raise the title to version 2.4 and bear the name “The Return”. With the new update the Thargoids will find the way to “Elite Dangerous” and will make the galaxy insecure in the future. When the “The Return” is available in its final version, the developers of Frontier Developments did not reveal so far, but assured that it will soon be so far.
Elite Dangerous: galaxy not even explored to one percent
In the run-up to the release of “The Return” interesting statistics on “Elite Dangerous” were introduced. These are from the website “Elite Dangerous Star Map” (also: EDSM), which offers the players the opportunity to immortalize their discoveries in the world of “Elite Dangerous” in a database. At the time, 15.8 million planets were discovered in the database.
Since “Elite Dangerous” has a realistic imitation of our galaxy and brings it to the bottom of about 400 billion planets, until now almost 0.004 percent of all planets were discovered in “Elite Dangerous”. The trend continues at current speed, 56,206 years until the complete game world of “Elite Dangerous” was explored.
However, it should be pointed out here that not all players enter their discoveries on EDSM. Therefore, it is conceivable that the value of the discovered planets slightly exceeds 0.004.
