The game of Jade Raymond will take a few more years to come. The launch may not be until 2022, so we’re probably dealing with a project for the next generation of consoles. Blake Jorgensen also covered other brands and the upcoming BioWare title during a conference.
As part of the Nasdaq Investor Conference, Electronic Arts’ Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen talked a bit about the new BioWare and EA Motive games. Among other things, he emphasized that BioWare’s “Anthem” will be published in the coming financial year. This confirmed a timeframe between April 2018 and March 2019. Jorgensen did not become more accurate in front of the investors.
Not much more detail was provided by the CFO for the new brand of Motive Studios, where Jade Raymond works. The title could appear in the financial year 2021 or 2022. This results in a potential release period between April 2020 and March 2022. Previously, there was only talk of a launch in the financial year 2021. It is not entirely unlikely that several new consoles will stay on the market at that time.
Later in his speech to investors, Blake Jorgensen commented on Electronic Arts’ investments. According to him, the company is always looking for new brands, however, flow 75 percent of the budget, which is available for the development of games in known series.
Only 25 percent are new games or brands such as the initially mentioned “Anthem”, the project of Motive Studios and other ideas that have not yet been announced. Further details on the new brands and the development phase of new ideas can be found in the editors of Dualshockers.
