A streamer faked the past weekend to play the MMA simulation “EA Sports UFC 3” to broadcast an actual big event.
This past weekend, Electronic Arts hosted an open beta on the upcoming EA Sports UFC 3 MMA simulation, and twitch streamer Lester_Gaming took advantage of this when it aired the pay-per-view UFC 218 live.
The current major event of the UFC offered in the main battle a clash of Brazilian MMA legend Jose Aldo with the UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. During the event, the streamer pretended that he was just playing the trial version of “EA Sports UFC 3”. He has since deleted the record of his stream, but there are some tweets that show once again how he had broadcast the event.
Lester had previously been suspended for 90 days after broadcasting NBA games on his YouTube channel. The twitch moderators, on the other hand, seemed to be blinded by his buttoning and comments. The stream at least ensured that its number of followers was more than doubled. Incidentally, he plans to continue broadcasting further UFC events in the future. “I’m transferring all UFCs, so I’m not worried.”
Whether he has to fear any consequences is not known yet.
