According to a recent report, PlayStation 4 players will be able to create their own PlayStation VR content and play other VR players in the upcoming creative title “Dreams”.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Media Molecule (“LittleBigPlanet”, “Tearaway”) are currently working on the PlayStation 4 exclusive creative game “Dreams,” which will be released later this year. However, the Edge magazine has revealed some interesting news on “Dreams”.
According to a recent report, players should be able to develop their own PlayStation VR games in “Dreams”. At the end of last year Sony Interactive Entertainment had already revealed that the game will have “limited” PlayStation VR support. However, Edge reports that you can get full PlayStation VR support in Create mode, where you can create your own environments and objects and turn them into gaming experiences. Thus, one can not only create VR experiences, but also play the VR content of other players.
However, Edge once again makes it clear that VR support will not be available for the launch of Dreams. Instead, it should be integrated into the game later. In addition, Media Molecule should already have plans to prevent players from sharing vivid violence or sexual content online. An algorithmic curation, Sony’s tools and a willing community are the keys to success.
