In a recent interview, Director David Cage has revealed more details about the coming adventure “Detroit Become Human”. According to this, the decisions actually have an impact on the action.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive adventure “Detroit Become Human” by Quantic Dream will bring a variety of decision-making possibilities, which will ultimately have consequences. In an interview with the British Official PlayStation Magazine, Director David Cage has lost some more sentences to the game. He focused on the complexity of the plot.
“I tried every time it was possible to make a decision and see where it would lead me,” Cage said. “It was very scary in the writing process because you end up with tables and diagrams that ultimately look terrible.”
Furthermore, Cage has confirmed that he wants to bring real consequences into play, even if it may sacrifice whole scenes in a game play.
“It was important for me not to use smoke and mirrors as it is very easy to do this thing and say that this choice will have huge consequences, but it does not really do it,” Cage explained his writing process. “It also had a prize in production: ‘Okay, we’re going to produce scenes that maybe 20 percent of the players will see in their first game, but let’s do this because 20 percent will talk about it with someone else. They will compare their stories and realize that they are totally different. ‘”
“Detroit Become Human” will be released next year for the PlayStation 4. A concrete date is not yet known.
