Those in charge of Gaijin Entertainment (“War Thunder”) have once again emphasized that cross-platform support between two different consoles is not possible.
In the past, the issue of cross-platform support between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has already come into play several times, as developers such as Psyonix (Rocket League), RED (“Gwent”) and Bandai Namco (“Tekken 7” ) Hoped to connect their community across all platforms. Even if Microsoft had publicly announced that the possibility of a connection to the PlayStation 4 is quite open, an implementation is still waiting.
Now Anton Yudintsev, CEO of Gaijin Entertainment (“War Thunder”), has also spoken to the crossplay between Xbox One and PlayStation 4. He said, “Crossout will not support cross-platform capabilities.” Thunder is a PC and PS4, but Crossout will also be available on Xbox One, and cross-platform play between two different consoles is not possible. ”
Since previously mentioned developers had already betrayed that it was not a technical problem to implement a cross-platform support, Yudintsev seems to address the business aspect. Thus, Sony and Microsoft do not seem to be able to agree.
