“Call of Duty WW2” lingers on the market for several weeks. The shooter is not only shot, you also meet a recipe that comes from a mission description. Due to the very confused translation, the result could taste a bit strange.
Sledgehammer Games has a little joke in the shooter “Call of Duty WW2”. On Reddit, a user named CptRutger draws attention to the mission description for the multiplayer map “Operation Griffin”. The alleged secret paper, however, turns out to be a spaetzle recipe. Especially curious: In the translation, the developers apparently trusted the Google Translator or similar tools.
In the wording it says in the mission description: “Military Government of Germany: Mix in medium bowl 2 cups of flour and salt Cut in shortening, with bakery bucket (or pull 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions, until particle size of small peas Sprinkle with cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, roll with fork until all the flour is moistened and pastry almost cleans the side of the bowl (1 to 2 teaspoons more water can be added if necessary.) I do not know about you all, but I think this cake is really delicious) – on 28.1.1944 … ”

How and why it made the recipe in the game is not known. It may be assumed, however, that this is an Easter egg. Or has it made a placeholder in the final version of “Call of Duty WW2”? The developers of Sledgehammer Games have not yet spoken to the spaetzle recipe.
