Anuman Interactive today announced a licensing agreement with Les Éditions Albert René to enable the production of new “Asterix & Obelix” games. A first project is already in progress.
Anuman Interactive has announced that it has signed a license agreement with Les Éditions Albert René, granting the company the rights to “Asterix and Obelix” for several video game projects. The first of the scheduled games will be released in the fourth quarter of 2018 via Microïds. However, further details of this project are not yet available.
“The team at Anuman Interactive is thrilled to be working on such prestigious licenses as Asterix and Obelix, and we look forward to seeing players take on the roles of these legendary, multi-generational heroes,” said Alain Milly, vice president of publishing at Anuman Interactive, in today’s press release.
Céleste Surugue, Managing Director of Les Éditions Albert René, added, “We are delighted to announce this agreement with Anuman Interactive for the return of Asterix and Obelix to current video game consoles.” As soon as more details about the games follow, we’ll let you know.
