In a recent interview, Xbox boss Phil Spencer once again expressed the end of the year appearing Xbox Scorpio and emphasized that one will recognize obvious graphic differences to the currently available consoles. The Xbox Scorpio will come to the end of the year in the trade and known to bring the strongest performance of the current consoles. In a recent interview with IGN Unlocked, Xbox head Phil Spencer lost some more words to the upcoming console.
He emphasized above all that the launch line-up is still strictly secret. However, this should already show clear graphic differences compared to the currently available consoles, with which the Scorpio should leave behind the competition around PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and Nintendo Switch.
However, the launch of the Xbox Scorpio could not be equated with the launch of a completely new console. Instead it is like the PlayStation 4 Pro is a new platform of a console family.
Another blockbuster title in the backhand?
“I think Scorpio will be able to prove itself with a large range of content as a strong console,” said Spencer. “For those who believe that we have a huge AAA game in the backhand, which is only announced at the E3 and already at the end of the year in the trade comes: That could happen.”
This game will be “Forza Motorsport 7“. The release of a new “Halo” as well as another “Gears of War” had already excluded Spencer in the last weeks for 2017. And what game could be better than “Forza Motorsport 7” prove what the new console is capable of doing?
Because, according to Spencer, the first games have to show what the players will expect exclusively on this platform. He is at least very confident about the quality of the games. “When people see Scorpio, they’ll see obvious differences to the games on the current consoles, and I know the content has to prove that,” Spencer concludes.
Whether the Xbox Scorpio will be fully revealed next June within the scope of the E3 2017 or presented in its own event, is not yet known. In the next few months, official details about the next Microsoft console should be presented.
