According to the responsible developers of Machine Games, “Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus” is far from the end. Instead, the studio planned a new trilogy from the beginning.
What has been going on in the past weeks in the form of rumors has also been officially confirmed in the course of this year’s E3.
The developers of Machine Games are working on the shooter “Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus”. In a recent interview the responsible creative director Jens Matthies gave us a brief look behind the scenes and pointed out that the end of the proverbial flagpole with the newly announced shooter is still far from being achieved.
Instead, a new trilogy was planned internally from the beginning. Or differently disguised: A successor to “Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus” is in the best case already more or less decided thing. As so often, however, financial aspects are decisive.
Executive Producer Jerk Gustafsson says that “Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus” must first develop into a commercial success before seriously thinking about another successor. In addition, the work on the recently announced shooter will be the focus to meet the expectations of the fans.
“Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus” will be released on October 27, 2017 for the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
