Nintendo has now officially unveiled a cooperative multiplayer for the 3D Jump’n’Run “Super Mario Odyssey”. Mario and Cappy will be available as playable characters.
After a few days ago, first indications of a multiplayer in the upcoming 3D Jump’n’Run “Super Mario Odyssey” appeared, Nintendo announced on the third and last day of the in-house Treehouse event officially a cooperative multiplayer.
Thus, two players can go together to the latest adventure of the iconic hero. While a player slips into the role of Mario, the second player gets control of Cappy, the living hat. While Mario continues to jump joyously through the various worlds, Cappy can turn off the opponents, act as a platform and help with further actions.
According to the latest information, the cooperative multiplayer will only be available in offline mode with two controllers. In an extensive gameplay presentation, the developers also give an insight into the multiplayer.
“Super Mario Odyssey” will be released on October 27, 2017 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. In the latest adventure, Bowser once again abducts Princess Peach. Because he wants to marry her this time, Mario travels with Cappy aboard the Odyssey through numerous worlds to prevent the wedding. In a second video, a look at the Sand Kingdom and New Dong City will be given.
