The round-based strategy game “Shock Tactics” from the hands of the Berlin-based indie studio Point Black Games is about to take off. Players have the choice between the digital version and a boxed version.
The Berlin-based Indie Soft forging Point Black Games has announced that their latest work called “Shock Tactics” will be available from April 11th. With Steam in the digital distribution, the strategy game will cost $ 19.95. There should be a physical version.
“Shock Tactics” was inspired by games like “Jagged Alliance” and “X-COM”, fans of these series are likely to find pleasure in the local product. The developers send the player to a newly discovered alien planet and into the skin of a commander who heads a mercenary squad. The aim of this unit is to detect ancient alien technology. Using these artifacts generated from the technology, weapons and armor can be puffed up or the base upgraded.
The player has to deal with pirates, aliens and the troops of the Imperial consortium. The German indie title is based on the three pillars exploration, squad management and basement construction. The highlight: The planets are regenerated procedurally with each start. The makers offer us three different environmental settings. This requires a constant rethinking and adjustment of the strategy.
