As it became known, Microsoft decided to renew brand protection on the “scalebound” brand. What remains to be seen in the end, however, remains to be seen.
In January of this year, the Microsoft executives announced that they had decided to discontinue the work on the “Scalebound” Action Roll Game.
This was developed by the Japanese action specialists and missed several milestones of the development according to official data. An event which ultimately led to the final outcome of the project. For fresh speculation to “Scalebound” provides these days Microsoft itself.
Scalebound: The trademark protection has been renewed
Thus, on 3 May, Microsoft decided to renew brand protection on “Scalebound”. Now of course it can be speculated as to what the Redmonder have in mind with this step. Optimists speculate that Microsoft has put the title in another studio and could announce the comeback of “Scalebound” already within the framework of the E3 next month.
However, it would also be conceivable that this is a precaution from Microsoft, which should prevent another developer or publisher from securing the trademark rights to “Scalebound”. Let us wait for an official statement from the Redmonder company.
