Capcom has announced that a free VR experience called “Biohazard Vendetta – Infected Experience” for PlayStation VR will be released alongside the movie “Resident Evil: Vendetta”. There is already an appointment for Japan.
“Resident Evil Vendetta” will appear here on the disc and on the streaming provider. The title again puts you in a scenario in which all sorts of zombies strive for the life of the protagonists. First big studios have already announced that they want to create accessible VR films. “Resident Evil Vendetta” does not yet count. But there is an intermediate solution.
Because Capcom has announced that you can adjust to a VR film to “Resident Evil Vendetta”. The VR experience is called “Biohazard Vendetta – Infected Experience” on May 24, 2017 for PlayStation VR. Since this date has just been announced for Japan, it is not quite clear how a localized version is.
In the VR experience, as a spectator / player, you will experience the zombie experience from a different perspective. It is still open, whether any interactive activities are planned or the strip is limited to a 360-degree experience with 3D effects.
It is known, however, that the CGI film “Resident Evil Vendetta”, which is intended for a release on DVD and Blu-ray disc (also as 4K version with HDR and Dolby Atmos), in the west on 18 July 2017.
