Company CEO Stefano Domenicali said in an interview with Digital Trends that the car will be Urus for the mass production name, and it is good news that production will start in April.
“As you know, this is an entirely new process, this will be the first prototype of a few cars,” said CEO Domenicali, who said early production versions will be produced in the first place in production that will start in April. The Italian manufacturer, which has double the production capacity of the Sant’Agata factory, will increase its annual production to 7,000, leaving 3,500 parts of the production to the Aventador and Huracan models and the remaining 3,500 parts to the Urus SUV model.
Speaking of the off-road capabilities of the car, Domenicali says that Urus will offer separate modes for different terrain like the new Jeep and Land Rover models. In addition to the dual-turbo V8 engine, the company also expects a hybrid transmission to expect models in the coming years, adding that the brand’s supersport vehicles are at least three to four years older than the hybrid system.
