According to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal, the latest release of the Virtual Reality Headset PlayStation VR is slower than expected.
Sony Interactive Entertainment should have decided to go on the search for new markets and sales opportunities. It is also mentioned that a new department was created with the “Location-based Entertainment” group, which is to realize this project.
However, Sony would be able to present the PlayStation VR experience more intensively in leisure parks or offer visitors the opportunity to create their own hands.
Even if the focus is currently on the Japanese market, the ultimate goal is to draw people’s attention to VR as much as possible and to give them the opportunity to try out the new technology themselves. It is noticeable, however, that the statements of the Wall Street Journal clearly differ from Sony’s statements.
The Japanese company confirmed in February that PlayStation VR already sold 900,000 times and is on the way to breaking the million barrier.
