So far, unconfirmed reports, Mojang is currently working on a 4K implementation of the “Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition” for the Xbox Scorpio. This is to be sent as a launch title of the new system into the race.
Few days ago, Phil Spencer, the head of the Xbox division, lost a few words about the Xbox Scorpio and assured via Twitter that the new system will appear as planned.
The Xbox Scorpio is deliberately advertised by Microsoft as a premium console and will offer among other things with the 6 Teraflop performance as well as a 12GB DDR5-RAM. However, while Microsoft revealed the official hardware specifications of the Xbox Scorpio a few weeks ago, details on suitable titles are still waiting.
Minecraft Windows 10 Edition: One of the launch titles of the Xbox Scorpio?
It is speculated that Microsoft on the E3 next month will make nails with heads and the first titles, which make use of the technical possibilities of the Xbox Scorpio, will officially announce. These might be the “Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition”, which, along with the 4K resolution, will find the way to the Xbox Scorpio and serve as the launch title for the console.
This is reported at least by colleagues from MS Power Users and are referring to internal sources. It is said that the “Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition is to be released as a universal Windows app and can be used on all Xbox One models. Cross-platform multiplayer sessions are also possible.
An official confirmation from Microsoft is still pending.
