After Nintendo already confirmed that “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” in North America was the fastest start of the series, the next success story reached us. So the Fun Racer already sold more than a million times on the first weekend.
At the end of last week, “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” was released exclusively for Nintendo’s new platform switch.
“Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” includes all the contents and the downloadable extensions of the Wii U version of “Mario Kart 8”. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: One million sold units on a weekend
After the Fun-Racer has already made itself in the front seats of the pre-order charts in the past weeks, corresponding success reports were not long in coming. For example, Nintendo announced this week that “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” was the fastest start of the series in North America.
But this is not yet done. Instead, industry analyst Danial Ahmad alias ZhugeEX, who is usually well-informed, confirmed that “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” sold more than a million times on the first weekend.
Nintendo itself did not want to confirm the numbers so far.
