The next year’s “Kingdom Hearts 3” is not being developed for the Nintendo Switch. In principle, however, such an implementation is not excluded. First, the developers want to focus on the two consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In addition, more playable characters were promised.
On the weekend, we have already reported on a new video about the upcoming “Kingdom Hearts 3” rolling game. Not only the “Toy Story” world was unveiled, but also the clip was assured that the title will come on the market next year. At the D23 Expo 2017, the game director Tetsuya Nomura gave a few more information and emphasized that the implementation of “Kingdom Hearts 3” for the Nintendo Switch is not fundamentally excluded, but the developers want to focus first on the confirmed platforms. These are the two consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As soon as “Kingdom Hearts 3” reached the trade in the coming year, one could think further, so the Game Director. However, the release of the Kingdom Hearts Collection for the Xbox One is more unlikely. While the Western audience would welcome such an implementation, the publication of the collection for Microsoft’s current platform in Japan is likely to have little in common because the Xbox One does not play an important role in the land of the rising sun. And even if the Xbox One X is submitted later this fall, it would be too late, according to Nomura, to provide the collection for this console.
In the course of the D23 Expo, Tetsuya Nomura also entered the playable characters in “Kingdom Hearts 3”. The time was not yet ripe to comment on the selection. However, Sora will not be the only hero you can steer through different worlds. The party system said that more than two characters are allowed to fight alongside Sora. Up to five characters (including Sora) can finally participate in the fighting, even if the actual party can consist of far more participants. In yesterday’s trailer, for example, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Buzz Lightyear and Woody were in action.
