The “Headmaster” released last year for the Virtual Reality headset PlayStation VR has received a new update, which brought two important features with it. On the one hand the support of the PlayStation 4 Pro was in the title. It should lead to a much sharper picture, as up to two times Supersampling with MSAA can be used.
On both consoles “Headmaster” runs with 90 FPS, however, because of the better sharpness when using the PS4 Pro feel to have a new VR headset on its head.
The second innovation is a change, which should appeal mainly to social players. Because the local multiplayer mode of “Headmaster” has been renamed “Party Mode”, which is connected to further levels. These are in part remixes of existing elements. Some are completely new.
Level list (manufacturer description):
Big Monkey – A giant, inflatable gorilla of a used car trade showing a cheap King Kong circus show. I should just stop here
Robert’s Room – You actually play in a room with small balls and goals. Look, if you can drive Robert from the toilet
Rock and Bowl – bowling in a new robe with black light and paint sprays
Basketcase – A whole new basketball challenge
Speed Round 2 – A new speed round with special surprises
Facility Tour – you can quickly move between some classic levels in a single level
Non-Alcoholic Pong – Classic Headmaster Pong without beer, rearranged
Darts – This is still sticking darts to football balls as you expected
Carnival – The classic Carnival exam, for party mode remixt
“We’ve also added an often-requested feature that lets you enter your initials when you’ve done the all-time highscore for a party mode level on PS4,” says the makers. “This is great for rivalries in the common household or for screenshots that you can post online.” In addition, the difficulty level has been defused at some levels that are too heavy. The complete announcement of the update can be found on the PlayStation Blog.
