In the run-up to the E3, the rumor circulated that Microsoft could use the event for the official announcement of “Halo 6 Gravemind”. As the developers of 343 Industries confirmed, the whole is however a fake.
In the course of Microsoft’s E3 press conference this year, everything is about the new Xbox, which is currently under the name Xbox Scorpio.
Since a new hardware without any suitable games is in principle doomed to failure, it is certain that the Redmonder will conjure up one or the other powerful title from the hat. “Crackdown 3” and “Forza Motorsport 7” are considered safe candidates.
The Halo makers from 343 Industries said a few weeks ago that they would be present at this year’s E3, but we should not expect a new “Halo” according to the developers. Despite all this, in the past few hours the rumor has prompted the fact that Microsoft will announce on the one title with the name “Halo 6: Gravemind”.
This should be indicated at least by a corresponding promotional flyer from the dealer GAME, which showed that 343 Industries is supported by the “Halo Wars 2” -makers of The Creative Assembly during the work on the new “Halo”. The October 10th of this year was named as the release date.
In order to avoid any speculation, Frank O’Connor, the franchise development director behind “Halo”, spoke recently and pointed out that we are dealing with a simple fake.
