After recently announced that “The Guild 3” will start in the early access phase in a few weeks, the makers went back to the long development in a recent statement and admitted that the title might be a year was announced early.
In the course of this year’s Gamescom, the THQ Nordic officials gave us fresh details about “The Guild 3” and announced that the title will be launched in the early access phase in a few weeks.
An announcement, which was not only positive voices. Instead, many players criticized the long development period of the third part, which was already announced at Gamescom in 2014. Especially the fact that “The Guild 3” in the meantime completely disappeared from the picture surface, gave the fans angry. An event that producer Heinrich Meyer took up in the official forum.
The guild 3: According to the producer announced too early
Firstly, Meyer points out that “Die Gilde 3” is by no means above-average in length, since “Die Gilde” and “Die Gilde 2” brought about a similar development period. Currently, THQ Nordic has invested a lot of money in the project to ensure that “The Guild 3” is released as bug-free as possible. “The guild does not have a linear gameplay, and any feature has influence on much else in the game and can lead to errors – and this non-linear gameplay is so much fun,” says Meyer.
“I’m not going to write this to apologize for the long development period, I just ask for some understanding that a game like The Guild is a lot more elaborate and more error-prone than most of today’s other games we announced The Guild 3, possibly a year too early, but the development would have remained the same. ”
The final version of “The Guild 3” is to appear exclusively for the PC in the second quarter of the coming year.
