Polyphony Digital and Thrustmaster have now announced that they have developed a new premium steering wheel for the racing simulation “Gran Turismo Sport”. This is expected to cost almost 800 dollars and bring some innovations with it.
The peripherals manufacturer Thrustmaster has developed a new premium steering wheel called “T-GT” for the upcoming racing simulation “Gran Turismo Sport” in collaboration with Polyphony Digital. With this, all requirements for a modern racing simulation are to be fulfilled, so that an ultra-realistic driving feeling is to be made possible. However, this experience comes with a rich price. Because the recommended retail price is 699 British pounds, which equals nearly 800 dollars.
However, Thrustmaster for the T-GT promises some technical innovations that include a special engine that is designed to ensure strong and realistic effects. With T-DFB an exclusive mode for “Gran Turismo Sport” is integrated, which supplements a further force feedback dimension. The depth feedback is therefore to make effects such as spinning or blocked tires, under-steering and oversteering, weight shifts, road surfaces and unevenness, the suspension and a lot more experience.
The T-DFB is exclusively activated for “Gran Turismo Sport” because the effects were integrated directly into the game code so that they are passed on to the steering wheel at the right time. The complete vehicle behavior and the course events are thus passed on to the players.
The steering wheel will offer further innovations with customizable buttons and functions, which can also be used in running races. First pictures and a trailer already take a look at the true premium steering wheel.
