The directors of TinyCo, FoxNextGames and Matt Groening are now presenting us a first animated teaser and some more details about the upcoming mobile title “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow”.
TinyCo, FoxNext Games and Matt Groening have now released an animated animated trailer titled “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow”. This is the first published animation on the TV series ever since it was discontinued in 2013.
“Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow” is animated by the original animation team. Thus, Matt Groening, David X. Cohen and Rough Draft Studios have placed their hand to the game. Even though the new teaser is the first glimpse into the work of the studio, Matt Groening has already emphasized that this is just the beginning.
Furthermore, it was announced that the gameplay will be an extensive genre mix. This is to mix simulation, combat, galactic exploration and select-your-own adventure mechanics to bring the escapades of Planet Express to life. There are also two main capitals. New New York, for example, concentrates on simulation and character advancement and, on the other hand, space exploration to explore different planets, fog, and other strange stuff.
New New York deals with completing quests, collecting equipment, crafting, and upgrading the characters. In addition, the action is mainly driven there. Once you have created your own crew, you can fight 16-bit aliens, determine the fate of civilizations, and explore the comical “Futurama” universe.
“Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow” appears for iOS and Android. A specific date is not yet known.
