Gun Media and Illfonic have now emphasized that the players of the multiplayer horror title “Friday the 13th” also wanted to offer a cross-platform support. However, the implementation was not possible so far.
In the course of this week, Gun Media and Illfonic will release the horror title “Friday the 13th” for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. However, the developers also seem to have planned to bring a cross-platform support into play so that players of all platforms can compete against each other.
However, this feature has not yet been officially confirmed. Rather, only in the official FAQ to the game a corresponding indication was given. Asked if “Friday the 13th” will also have a cross-platform support to offer, it was revealed that the developers hope to make the crossplay between all three launch platforms possible. However, there are some “logistical challenges” that need to be solved first. However, some things are not in the control of the developers.
Already other development studios like CD project RED, Psyonix and Bandai Namco had tried in the past crossplay into their games. However, an agreement between Sony Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft has not yet been reached, which may prevent the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from being connected.
