In an interview, Koei Tecmos Yosuke Hayashi released various details about “Fire Emblem Warriors”, which is currently being developed for Nintendo’s Switch. Among other things, it was about a hardcore mode and a permadeath function.

“Hyrule Warrios” was, on the whole, a classic action title from the “Dynasty Warriors” series, which was soon portrayed as a “The Legend of Zelda”. As the title quickly evolved into a million-sellers, Nintendo decided to pick up the concept underlying the “Hyrule Warriors” and apply it to the “Fire Emblem” series. “Fire Emblem Warriors”, which is currently being developed for Switch.
Koei Tecmos spoke to Yosuke Hayashi about the features of the game and made it clear that the players in “Fire Emblem Heroes” can look forward to a hardcore mode. Hayashi: “We know that Fire Emblem players are both hardcore and casual players, so we have options for both types of players in the Fire Emblem titles and will also offer a hardcore mode in this title.”
And you can choose between a more difficult mode in which you have to think strategically, because you can lose all your characters, and a casual mode in which you can not lose any characters. “With a glance at a possible Permadeath- Hayashi says, “Maybe not in the way you know about the main games of Fire Emblem, but in a way that makes sense for a Warriors game.”
