Officially, the 2.35: 1 format will also be featured in “The Evil Within 2”. This time, however, the players can decide for themselves whether they want to make use of this feature.
In the first “The Evil Within” the developers of Tango Softworks decided to add the title to the so-called Cinemascope format 2.35: 1.
However, the feature did not come well with all users and was sometimes critically criticized. Talking to colleagues of the Egg, Tango Softworks’ Director John Johanas confirmed that this format will also be included in the forthcoming sequel “The Evil Within 2”.
The Evil Within 2: 2.35: 1 format can be selected optionally
This time, however, the players are not forced to use this. Instead, the 2.35: 1 format holds in an optional frame. “We had the black bars as a joke in a demo that we showed on a Bethesda show, and we thought, ‘Wow, it looks really good, let’s get it inside,’ Jonas is quoted.
And then, “so the bars in the game are hidden, even if they are hidden in the first place, but we also know that there are people who do not want their image to be restricted, but see some settings in the game with the black bars just a lot better. ”
“The Evil Within 2” will be available in Europe from October 13th.
