Blizzard Entertainment is apparently working on an unannounced first-person shooter. This is indicated by several job advertisements. According to speculation, the whole thing could have something to do with the “overwatch” brand.
Blizzard Entertainment has released a shooter with “Overwatch” last year, which should be very successful afterwards. This should have paved the way for further projects of this kind. The fact that something is actually in the pipeline is now clear in the form of job advertisements that speak of a first-person shooter or at least a game with a first-person perspective. A game for mobile systems is not supposed to be.
Two Lead Software Engineers and a Senior Technical Animation Artist are looking for the new project. In the description it is said that the applicants should bring experiences with shooters and action games. There is also a “robust first-person engine”. Since no further references to the new project can be found in the texts of the job advertisements, there is still room for speculation.
And these are going in the direction that we might expect a new offshoot of “Overwatch”, which can impress the single players with a singleplayer story campaign. The “Overwatch”, created for multiplayer battles, was released in May of last year the market. On Metacritic, the score in the case of the PlayStation 4 version is 90.
