The directors of Nicalis have now announced that “The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth +” will not be released for the launch of the Nintendo Switch. One had to postpone the publication.
Update: Meanwhile, a new appointment was called. “The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth +” will be released on March 17, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch.
News from February 21, 2017: Originally, Nicalis had hoped to get Edmund McMillen’s “The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth +” on time for the launch of the Nintendo console on the new console hybrids. However, the leaders have now announced that the release of the game has to move something backwards.
Nicalis co-founder Tyrone Rodriguez said, “We have not been able to confirm the new date (due to problems that are not in our hands).” However, it is expected that “The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth +” will be released in March.
Nicalis also announced that the first edition of the physical Switch Launch Edition will contain some more content. In addition to the alternative cover and two sets of stickers, you will now also include an Isaac face sticker and a complete color instruction booklet. On the official site you can already have a look at the booklet.
