The kickstarter campaign of the 2D platformer “Beard Blade” did not strike the hoped-for resonance. The development continues, though somewhat limited.
The interest in “Beard Blade” was not as high as hoped: Only 16.031 US dollar with a financing goal of 95,000 US dollar came together at the end of October in the kickstarter campaign. Then it was quiet around the retro title.
Until now, the developer Glovebox Games has spoken out and announces that the game has not yet been buried. According to the developer blog, “Beard Blade” is scheduled to launch in the beginning of 2018 for the PC and Mac. The price is hoped to range between $ 10 and $ 15. Since one did not get to the required kneading, one will make some cuts and some aspects of the title diminish or remove completely. The details were left in secret, but “good progress in the last few months” had happened.
The possibility of a console version and a switch porting was left open, even if it was ultimately said that no plans for this would be up to date. But: “Beard Blade” would like to see on a Nintendo console, so Glovebox. “Other consoles” are also possible. Currently you are focusing on the PC version.
