A couple of years ago, a video game appeared on the market parallel to the blockbuster “Avatar”, which, like the movie, will have a sequel. In the meantime, Ubisoft has revealed when the release may be expected.
“Avatar” created James Cameron a few years ago a film, which should make the people’s experience 3D. The strip was a huge success, 3D still flopped and now plays at least in the then version no significant role. Instead, there are films for the Virtual Reality glasses in the march. Disney would like to produce accessible virtual reality films in pixar quality. An appropriate technology is already being researched.
Back to “Avatar”: The second film, which is devoted to this universe, will be released by the end of 2020. Whether we are allowed to experience it in virtual reality remains to be seen. However, it is certain that Ubisoft will publish a video game to the film, whose release period has been limited today. The game was announced in February 2017, but publication is only expected in the financial year 2020/2021.
It will take place from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021. The publication of the new “Avatar” game would therefore be made in April 2020 at the earliest. More likely, however, is a debut sometime in the autumn of 2020. Ubisoft has own plans according to its own plans with the new “Avatar”, which could be a VR support. Further details will probably not follow until 2019.
