The newly announced VR-Shooter “Archangel” puts us in the metallic skin of a heavily loaded combat machine. The release will be available soon and exclusively on the PSVR.
Together with two screenshots, which can be seen below, Skydance Interactive has announced “Archangel” its debut title for the Virtual Reality market. Already in the upcoming July the VR-ballroom for PSVR, the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive to be to be have. However, the PSVR version will receive exclusivity for two weeks, only then should PC players be allowed to hand the title. Skydance has not yet revealed an exact release date.
According to the developers, the first-person shooter is an “industrialized, tyrannical United States where the state and freedom of the population no longer exist.” The player is hired by the Resistance Group United States Free Forces to place himself in a six-storey HUMNX metal combat robot. The latter are a “private conglomerate which controls the last bit of the plundered America”.
The player has the choice to use his heavy metal arms or to equip them with fat weapons. The creaks can be enhanced by accumulated XP with increased experience in the battles that take place in “many different environments”. Alone, we are not on the battlefield: Artificial Intelligence-controlled allies support the player here. Skydance promises a “captivating storytelling and dynamic character” for the single player shooter.
